Undoomed Protocol Gets a Security Thumbs-Up After EtherAuthority Audit
The Undoomed Protocol took a proactive step to make sure everything’s safe and sound! They had their smart contracts thoroughly checked out by EtherAuthority, a top-notch blockchain security team, on May 3, 2022. This review looked at all the important parts of the Undoomed smart contracts, including things like how they set up versions, handle adventures, let you redeem coins, create new tokens, add minters, check if something exists, recycle, and track tokens by their index.
It’s worth noting that these contracts use some standard building blocks from OpenZeppelin called “Initializable” smart contracts. These are already well-regarded and have been looked at by the wider community for a long time, so EtherAuthority didn’t specifically re-audit those parts.
How They Checked Things Out and What They Found
EtherAuthority used a mix of smart computer programs – like Slither, Solhint, and Remix IDE – and good old-fashioned human eyes to carefully review the code and see if there were any security holes. The good news is that the audit gave the Undoomed smart contracts a “Secured” rating! This means they didn’t find any serious, high-level, or even medium-level security problems. They did find one minor issue and a few very minor ones, which the Undoomed team has acknowledged.
Who’s in Charge and How Decentralized Is It?
While the contracts are secure, the audit also pointed out that there are some owner control features. This means it’s not completely run by the community. This is something important to keep in mind if you’re someone who really values decentralization in blockchain projects.
Why These Security Checks Are a Big Deal
Smart contract audits are super important in the blockchain world. They help make sure that these decentralized applications are secure and reliable. By finding potential weaknesses, they help build trust among users.
Wrapping Up
The successful security check-up of the Undoomed Protocol by EtherAuthority shows how important it is for blockchain projects to have these kinds of reviews. For both the people building the project and the people using it, these audits provide confidence that things are secure and working as they should.
