EtherAuthority employed a rigorous audit methodology, combining manual code review with automated tools such as Slither, Solhint, and Remix IDE. This meticulous examination aimed to uncover any potential vulnerabilities within Gamut Exchange’s smart contracts.
The audit’s outcome was highly positive, rating Gamut Exchange’s contracts as “Secured.” Impressively, the audit found zero critical, high, or medium-level issues. Only one low-level issue and a few minor informational concerns were identified, all of which have since been successfully resolved in the updated contract code.
While the protocol currently incorporates owner-controlled functions for aspects like fee setting and fund withdrawal, a common practice in early-stage DeFi projects, these controls can be phased out through future ownership renouncement, paving the way for full decentralization.
Gamut Exchange’s smart contracts demonstrated robust performance, successfully passing vital security checks including access control, integer overflow protection, and gas optimization. The overall architecture was commended for its clarity and logical structure, despite minor limitations in code commentary.
